There are few companies having more then 100 years. The company named Plastor was set up in 1914 as a small private business, manufacturing hair pins and combs from natural materials. They were taken over in state propriety in 1948 and re-named “Viitorul”. Up to the 90’s it was the largest toy manufacturer in Romania. In 1994 it was privatized back and became a 100% Romanian owned company.
We are proud to be now one of the main plastics processing companies in Romania. We manufacture plastic components for automotive and industrial customers as well as winter sport equipment. Our customers are global companies, top brands in their own markets.
A large fleet of 70 mold-injection machines, clamping force between 40-1100 tf, is running in the three market specialized work-shops of the company: automotive components, non-automotive components, winter-sport equipment.
Most of the machines are German or Austrian (Arburg, Krauss-Maffei, Demag, Engel) and are equipped with robots for plastic parts extraction.
With more than 50 years of experience, blow-molding activity is the second most important technology used by Plastor. The company owns 8 blow-molding machines all made in Italy: Meico, Automa and Magic. They can produce parts between 5 and 50 liters, made in polyethylene, polypropylene or TPE.
Finished products assembling
The most complex activity performed in the company is the assembling of winter sport equipment (ski boots, goggles and helmets). It started in 1993 with the subcontracting of ski boots manufacturing by the French Salomon Company. In the years that followed it expanded constantly, nowadays Plastor being supplier for Austrian Atomic Company too.
They design and manufacture molds for mold-injection and blow-molding both for their own use and for the company customer. The used software are: ProEngineer, Cimatron and Delcam. The largest mold that can be manufactured is 1200 x 800 x 800 mm (4-4,5 t).
We are active part to product development alongside our customers and fully manage projects according to APQP procedure. Our highly trained specialists have very good skills in production and control devices design and manufacturing.
